The study’s primary focus is examining the impact of chronic pain on academic performance among university students. Another variable of interest for this study is relationships and whether or not having a romantic partner plays a role in the pain experience and academic performance. Emerging adults (aged 18-29) are not often the focus of chronic pain research, so we’re interested to see how these factors interact in order to better understand the experiences of this population.
